Rainmaker bares Asian expansion, introduces latest VoIP software

With its recent acquisition of a large Makati-based call center, the Silicon Valley-based BPO Rainmaker Systems recently launched its Asian expansion plans as well as a new VoIP software to complement its operations.

A leading provider of sales and marketing solutions combining hosted application software and execution services, Rainmaker has recently acquired Qinteraction Philippines, the first BPO company to gain ISO 9001-2000 certification in Asia. Now renamed Rainmaker Asia, Inc., the company has since increased Qinteraction’s manpower complement of 800 personnel with an additional 350 seats of their own.

Jeri Lee Zulueta Ramos, Rainmaker SaaS (software as a solution) and BPO sales director for Asia-Pacific, disclosed that the company intends to add 600 to 1,200 more employees this year that would comprise 40 percent of its total personnel worldwide. She added that the company is looking at opening an additional BPO facility in the country, possibly in one of the next wave cities identified by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology or CICT.
