
Sixteen call center bands wowed the 3000-strong crowd and the judges with their winning set at the Jammin' Battle of the Bands, a highlight at the CCAP Call Center Agents Day last November 22 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
Taking out first place was Sitel's very own band ACW, which has won one hundred thousand pesos worth of prizes. Aegis People Support’s Apathy bagged the second place while KGB’s 4-11 and Stellar’s Scralatchtica shared the third place position.
Out of 28 competing bands during the elimination round on November 8, sixteen were chosen to perform for a crowd of cheering call center professionals in the much awaited Jammin' finals night. All bands were judged on musicianship, originality and creativity, stage presence, style and presentation, audience impact and overall impact by well known and respected musical artists Wency Cornejo, Mark Abaya, Mon Faustino, Alwyn Cruz and Jamir Garcia.
To add to the fun and excitement of the night, two popular local bands Chicosci and Parokya ni Edgar played their best selections to the crowd’s delight.
The call center's very own ramp models also stole the limelight of the night. Agents, managers and executives called Fashionistas 2009 walked the ramp in signature clothes provided by SM Department Store. Call center professionals who participated were from Accenture, Advanced Contact Solutions , Inc. (ACS), Aegis PeopleSupport, Inc., Bayantel, Blue Bean, ContactCenter.com, Convergys, eTelecare Global Solutions, Genpact Services LLC, Global Contact Services Int'l., ICT Group, KGB Philippines, Pacific Hub, PIASI, PLDT, Sitel, StarTek International Limited, Stellar Global, Sykes Asia, Inc., Visaya KPO, and VXI Global Holding.
Finalists for the Jammin Battle of the Bands Announced (update 2 - November 19, 2009)
The news really flew fast and thick After Shift! The Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) now announces the finalist bands to compete on the Jammin finals night on November 22, 2009 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.

Battle of the Bands 2009 Elimination Round (updated 1 - Nov 12, 2009)
The third installment of the Call Center Battle of the Bands went underway last November 8, 2009 at the SM Center Stage of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay. This year, a total of 28 call center bands accepted the challenge to become the next CCAP Battle of the Bands Grand Champion.

It was a "rocking" event as family, friends and fellow agents cheer for their favorite bands. In the end, only 16 bands survived and they advanced to the Grand Finals.
